Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing or using the zunna app ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App. zunna is developed and operated by Gildo Vargas, Lima, Peru.

2. Description of Service

zunna is a personal finance iOS app that allows you to track expenses, income, budgets, savings goals and fixed recurring expenses.

2.1 Free Plan

  • Up to 20 expense records per month.
  • History limited to the current month.
  • Access to income tracking and basic settings.
  • Multi-currency support.

2.2 Pro Plan

  • Unlimited expenses.
  • Full history with no time limit.
  • Budgets by category.
  • Savings goals.
  • Fixed recurring expenses with reminders (local notifications).

3. Subscriptions and Payments

Pro subscriptions are offered monthly ($2.99/month) and annually ($24.99/year) via Apple App Store.

  • Charge applied to your Apple ID account at confirmation.
  • Subscription auto-renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Cancel anytime from iOS Settings > [Your name] > Subscriptions.
  • No refunds for partial periods, except as required by applicable law.

4. Account

To use the App you must create an account via email and password, or with your Apple ID through Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and all activities under your account.

5. App Features and Permissions

The App may request the following permissions:

  • Face ID (Local Authentication): to lock the App and protect your financial data. Biometric data never leaves your device.
  • Notifications: to show budget alerts (at 80% and 100%) and reminders for fixed recurring expenses on their due date. These are local notifications, generated and scheduled entirely on your device — there are no remote push notifications and no data is sent to any server to produce them. You can disable them in iOS Settings or within the App.
  • Siri & Shortcuts: to let you log expenses by voice (e.g. "Hey Siri, log $12 on coffee in zunna"). Your voice is processed by Apple's Siri; we only receive the amount, category and note needed to create the expense. You can disable this in iOS Settings > Siri & Search > zunna.
  • Camera: to scan receipts. Access is requested only when you tap "Scan receipt → Take photo". The image is processed entirely on your device using Apple's Vision framework — it is never uploaded to our servers or any third party, and it is not stored: it is used in memory to extract the text and then discarded. Only the resulting amount and merchant name are saved, and only if you save the expense.
  • Photo Library: zunna uses the iOS photo picker (PhotosPicker), which runs outside the App's process. zunna never has access to your full photo library — it only receives the photo you explicitly select, with the same treatment as the camera: on-device processing, no upload, no retention.

6. Privacy and Data

The use of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, available at zunna.app/privacy. Your financial data is stored securely and is not shared with third parties without your consent.

7. Intellectual Property

All rights to the App, including its design, source code, brand and content, belong exclusively to Gildo Vargas. No license is granted beyond personal use of the App.

8. Limitation of Liability

zunna is a personal tracking tool. It does not constitute financial, tax or legal advice. Gildo Vargas is not responsible for financial decisions made based on information recorded in the App. The App is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind.

9. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or by email. Continued use of the App after notification constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

10. Cancellation and Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Settings > Delete Account. All your data will be permanently deleted unless we must retain it for legal, accounting, dispute-resolution or security purposes. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Peru. Any disputes shall be submitted to the courts of Lima, Peru.

13. General Provisions

  • These Terms are the entire agreement between you and zunna regarding the App and supersede prior understandings on this subject.
  • If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force to the maximum extent permitted by law.
  • Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of that provision or any other right.
  • You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent; we may assign them as part of a merger, acquisition or asset transfer.
  • Sections relating to payment, privacy, liability, indemnity, termination, governing law and contact survive termination of the App or your account to the extent necessary to give them effect.
